Ted D Jakovec

Ted D. Jakovec, 67, of Montgomery, IL passed away on November 17, 2018. He was born on February 4, 1951 in Illinois, the son of Milton and Irene (Kanak) Jakovec. Ted was a master auto technician and through the years worked at various places including: Jerry’s Marathon for 20 years, Keith’s Car Care in Oswego and most recently, Louie’s Car Care. He had a passion for music, playing many instruments and even played in a band many years ago. He collected pin ball machines and loved a good garage sale.  He also loved playing Washers at family gatherings and loved his family dearly. H will be missed by all.

He is survived by his wife Marian of 40 years; children, Lisa (David) Williams, Jay (Dino) Rio, April (Rodney Cooper) Jakovec and Matt (Heather) Jakovec; 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his step-mother, Gwen Betker-Jakovec and a sister, Jean Mencias.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Nancy Jakovec.

Family will be receiving guests on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Interment will be private.
