Terry A. Bennett Sr

Terry Bennett Sr., 74, passed away Saturday April 23, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 9, 1947 in Aurora, son of Corbett Wesley “Wes” and Lorraine (Aldrich) Bennett. Terry was a hard worker who owned many successful businesses. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman with endless stories to tell. Terry was also an expert archer and enjoyed taking many cruises; 2 of his favorite were Alaska and Princess Cays in the Bahamas.  A devoted father and grandfather, he will be missed greatly by family, friends and neighbors. Terry is survived by his son Terry Jr. (Serena), and daughter Shelly (Johnathan) Cox; Brother Ron (Bev), 2 Granddaughters Jessica and Olivia Bennett and his loving companion of 20 years De Wilcox and her children Michelle and Mike Naus. Nieces and nephews, Brett and Craig Bennett, Erica and Jonathan Bennett, and Todd, Steve and Ryan Whitmer, Lyndsay and Kelly Felten, and last but not least his beloved dog Lilly. Terry is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Rickie and a sister Wendy. A celebration of life for Terry will be held Sunday May 1, 2022, from 1:30pm until 5pm at the Lakewood Springs Clubhouse North, 900 Lakewood Springs Drive, Plano, IL 60545.
