Verna Gibson

Verna Gibson, 83, of Oswego, passed away Tuesday July 10, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born October 18, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri, daughter of Robert and Verna (Smith) Micas.  Verna was employed at Anchor Brush Company as a Machine Operator for over 22 years. She enjoyed Gardening, canning, but most of all she enjoyed being with the family.  She is survived by 3 daughters; Pamela (John) Sanchez, Linda Martin, Nancy (Tom) Martin. 3 sons; Robert (Diane), Tommy Lee, and Lari (Paula). 15 Grandchildren, 23 Great-grandchildren and 1 Great-Great- grandchild.  Verna is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 63 years, Harold Sr., 2 brothers, Hillard, a brother that passed in infancy , 1 son, Harold Jr. and 4 grandchildren; Mary Ann, David Michael, Jennifer and Ryan. Family will be receiving  guests Monday July 16, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Dieterle Memorial Home 1120 S. Broadway, Montgomery, IL.  Burial will take place at Lincoln Memorial Park in Aurora.
