Warren Fowler

Warren Kenyon “Ken” Fowler , 85, of Aurora passed away on June 4, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was born on October 3, 1937 in Aurora, Il the son of Warren Wood & Fern (Kenyon) Fowler. Ken was a quiet, gentle & loving husband, father, grandfather & great-grandfather. He enjoyed all outdoors activities like camping, hiking, canoeing, and hunting. He was a boy scout here in Aurora and obtained the rank of Eagle Scout.

He worked for Illinois Bell/AT&T for 35 years in several positions, he also worked as a part-time Kane County Auxiliary Police officer, North Aurora police officer and was an E.M.T. on Big Rock Fire Department. He obtained an associates degree in electronics and worked in a shop for several years as well as working part-time as a lock smith. He was a long time member of the Chicago Mountaineering Club  as well as many other interests and activities.

He is survived by children Laurie (the late Dan) McGuire, Mark (Doris) Fowler, and Karen (Dale) Feiden: grandchildren, Caitlin (Taylor) Bucher, Kaori (Cory) Powers, Edwina and Draco McGuire, Heather (Carl) Bassio, Meghan (Jason) Ahlert, Jennifer (Ronnie) Groom, Aaron Feiden, and Kelsey (Dennis) Fisher; several great-grandchildren & great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by sister-in-law Betty Fowler as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Leah (Tanner); his parents, grandson Benjamin Logan Feiden, Sisters Joyce Harris, Leila Wolfe, brothers-in-law Harlan Wolfe and Tom Harris, and brother, Robert Fowler.

Family will be receiving guests from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Dieterle Memorial Home.  Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Dieterle Memorial Home 1120 S. Broadway Montgomery, IL .   Graveside service will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park in Aurora, IL.
