Wayne H. Talley

Wayne H. Talley, 94, of Bristol, went home to be with the Lord Thursday July 29, 2021 at Copley Medical Center. He was born May 12, 1927 in Aurora, IL; son of Howard and Edith (Schoeberlein). Wayne was employed at the United States Postal Service for 38 years; starting out as a carrier and working his way up to Superintendent of Mails.. Wayne was a lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church; he served on the Church finance committee for over 60 years. Wayne was also a member of the St. Paul bowling league. He loved tending to the yard and spending time with his grandchildren. Wayne was a big sports fan, he enjoyed watching the Cubs, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Wayne is survived by a son, Randall (Gayle), a daughter, Sandra Marcum, nine grandchildren: Paul (Nicole), Andrew (Carley), Daniel (Erin), Peter (Stormy), Adam (Violetta), Mark, Amanda, Benjamin (Molly) and Dustin (Amanda).  Wayne had three great grandchildren: Molly, Katherine, Wyatt, and a sister, Jean (Robert) Strong. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 66 years, Shirley, a brother, Richard (Lela), two sons: Mark and Jeffrey (Priscilla) and a great grandson, Henry Marcum. Family will be receiving guests on Saturday, August 7, 2021, from 9:30 am until time of service at 11 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 85 S. Constitution, Aurora.
