Wayne Wright

Wayne Wright, 81 of Montgomery passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Alden of Waterford with his family at his side. He was born on November 27, 1935 in Dubuque, Iowa; a son of Roy and Esther (Weighner) Wright. Wayne graduated from the Loras Academy in Dubuque in 1957. He went onto marry Doris Recker on November 24, 1960 at St. Boniface Church in New Vienna, Iowa. He was a 4^th Degree Knights of Columbus and a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego, Illinois. Surviving family members include his cherished wife: Doris Wright of Montgomery; his children: Cheryl (Chris) Carlson of Joliet, Michael Wright of Montgomery, John (Donna) Wright of Fishers, Indiana, Angela Wright of South Bend, Indiana; his grandchildren: David (Lauren) Cylkowski, Kirsten and Elsie Carlson, Brianna and Joshua Wright, Destin Cylkowski; son-in-law: William (Joan) Cylkowski; over fifty nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and nephews; and his in-laws: Ethel Vorwald of Epworth, Iowa, Cyril Recker of New Vienna, Iowa, Gladys Wessels of Dyersville, Iowa, Norma (Ken) Eike of Manchester, Iowa, Dennis Recker of Dyersville, Iowa, Shirley Recker Feldman of Dyersville, Iowa, Roger (Linda) Recker of Manchester, Iowa, Joyce (Leo) Davidshofer of Dubuque, Iowa and Larry (Alice) Recker of Tucson, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter: Colleen Ann Wright Cylkowski, brother: Gordon Wright and sisters-in-law: Joann and Jean, sister-in-law: Joann Recker, brother-in-law: Earl Recker, James Recker, Paul Vorwald, Marvin Recker, Melvin Recker and Ernie Wessels; two nephews, one niece and his parents-in-law: Leo and Henrietta Recker. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, August 25, 2017 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego, Illinois. Burial will follow at Risen Lord Cemetery. The family will greet guests on Thursday evening from 4:00 until 8:00PM at Dieterle Memorial Home in Montgomery.
