Zella M. McKittrick

Zella Marie McKittrick, 98, of Montgomery, IL passed away on May 12, 2023. She was born on March 7, 1925 - the daughter of Lola and Calvin Ferguson. Zella graduated from Cornell High School and retired from doing accounting work with Caterpillar in 1983 after 25 years of service. Zella was an original member at Neighborhood Church of the Brethren in Boulder Hill where she attended for many years.

She enjoyed golfing with family, friends, and co-workers. Zella and Jack were avid travelers, visiting multiple states and countries during their empty-nester years.  She also enjoyed her monthly Bunco group.  Zella was always quick-witted and inherited the Ferguson practical joker gene.

Zella is survived by her children, Glenn (Mary) McKittrick Jr, Linda (Rick) Oros, and Donna (Ed) Huntress; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Zella was the last surviving member of her large family.  She’s preceded in death by her husband Glenn "Jack"; her parents; granddaughter, Katrina Wade; sisters, Vada (Bill) Baker and Betty (Al) Miller; brothers, Lester (Edith) Ferguson, Herbert (Gertrude) Ferguson, Kenneth (Evelyn) Ferguson, Vewen (Hazel) Ferguson, Clarence (Lillian) Ferguson, Richard Ferguson, and Raymond (Juanita) Ferguson.

Family will be receiving guests on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave, Montgomery, IL 60538. A graveside service will follow visitation at Riverside Cemetery, 414 N. River St, Montgomery, IL 60538.
