Ron, Martha, and family,
I am sorry to learn of the passing of your dear Dad. Pastor Brong was my pastor at First Baptist Church in Monroe when I was in high school. I have many fond memories of those years as I listened to him faithfully preaching the Word of God. He led me to the Lord when I was fifteen years old. His love for the Lord, and for others, was very evident in his life. He truly had a servant's heart, and he will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Love to all,
Jan (Cowman) Miller

Ron and Martha,
You have our sympathy at the passing of your father. He was the camp director in Iowa when I was growing up. It was our privilege to get to know you when we attended Banbury Road Baptist Church many years ago. God blessed him with many years of life and now he is enjoying his eternal life.

Martha and Family, your father was the most outstanding beloved minister of the
First Baptist church of Monroe, IA. His words, spoken in his sincere calm manner molded my Christian beliefs in my youth and have remained through my eighty years.
In 1955 he married Ken and I as well as my three sisters. After the fourth wedding, my father said, "I have no more daughters for you marry." It remained a pleasant joke between them for years. When in Ankeny, he came to our home to bring much appreciated encouragement to Ken who was facing very serous brain surgery in Los Angeles. The last time we saw Rev Brong, when probably in his late eighties at the Monroe churches' anniversary celebration, we were thrilled he called us by name.
Please accept our sincere sympathy in the lose of your wonderful father.

Ron and Martha, you have our sympathy. I have very fond memories of visiting the Baptist Church in Monroe and hearing your father preach. He was such a kind, gentle man who clearly walked with God. I know he touched many families as he led people to a saving knowledge of the Lord. . Norman and Mary (Woody) Van Zante

I remember Don Brong as the camp director at IRBC in the years when I was a pre-teen. I was so impressed even then with his quiet, gentle spirit and respected him so much as a man of God. I thank him for that legacy. Praying for God's peace for you, Nancy.

Hello Martha and family, I have many special memories of the years your father was pastor at First Baptist Church in Monroe. He is the only pastor that I have memory of in my adolescent and teen years. He baptized me when I was 8 and married Larry and I in June of 1962 even though he had left Monroe at that time. I also remember coming to your parents house and visiting with Mary. Her audio box was quite fascinating! You were blessed to have your father so many years but you will certainly miss him.

It was my privilege to work for Mr. Brong as an administrative assistant at the IRBC and the IARBC for a number of years. His love for the Lord was evident in his speech, in the way he conducted business, and how he interacted with people. His pastor's heart was always on display. From him I learned the importance of putting God first in my life. My favorite memory is when Pastor Brong married John and me in 2008!

I worked with Brother Brong in the office with Sarah Smith at the Iowa Regular Baptist camp in the late 60's. He was such a blessing to me. This Godly servant was such an encouragement to me. Our prayers and love go out to this family.

Pastor Brong was instrumental in praying for me as a young man to get into full-time pastoral ministry. He also played an important role in my church's life (Calvary Baptist of Mt. Pleasant Iowa) back in the 60's when it was a small and discouraged church wondering if it should press on. He was a constant encourager. I'll never forget his humble spirit, love for the Word and his passion for souls. May God in His providence raise up many more servants like Don Brong. (John 14:1-6)
