Helen Mishos

Helen Mishos, 75 of Yorkville passed away on Friday, April 18, 2014 at West Lake Hospital in Melrose Park. She was born on April 6, 1939 in Greece; a daughter to the late Peter and Christina (Katsamakis) Azemopoulos. Helen and her husband Christ owned and operator the Broadway Restaurant in downtown Aurora for over 40 years, as well as Angelos Liquor Store. She was a member of St. Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church in Aurora, where she was a volunteer for fund raisers and a choir member. Family members include her son: Terry Mishos of Yorkville, her granddaughter: Angelic; her sister: Connie (Albert) Alunni and her brother: Sam (Sue) Azemopoulos.  Funeral service to be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at St. Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church, 1855 Fifth Ave., Aurora. Father Peter Spiro will officiate and burial will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park in Aurora. The family will greet guests on Tuesday evening from 4:00 until 8:00PM at Dieterle Memorial Home in Montgomery.
