Robert W. Moser, (82), of Oswego, IL passed away Sunday, October 8, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 19, 1935 in Aurora, IL, the son of Walter and Irene (Mantzke) Moser. He married Lois Abel on May 11, 1957 in Aurora, IL.
Bob was drafted in 1957 and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany until 1959. He was employed for the local Lincoln Mercury dealership including Rizza Lincoln Mercury for many years retiring in 1997. In his younger years he was a weekend farmer. He loved being outdoors and having many different farm animals. Bob also volunteered at the Aurora Animal Shelter for many years, he loved all animals but especially dogs. He enjoyed working on old cars and traveling with Lois in their Greyhound bus. Bob was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Aurora, where he was also confirmed.
Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lois; 2 sons, Mark Moser of Aurora and David (Angie) Moser of Aurora; 6 grandchildren, Amber (Brett) Markham, Emily (Greg) Cox, Jeremiah, Elijah, Dakota and KaiLoni Moser; 2 great grandchildren, Isabelle Markham and Gavin Cox; 1 sister, Janice (Paul) Stiebeling of Fort Wayne, IN and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Service at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 13, 2017 at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave., Montgomery, IL.
