Jeffrey Sartain

Jeffrey D. Sartain, 58, of Oswego passed away surrounded by his family on June 25, 2014. He was born in Aurora, IL on June 29, 1955. Jeff co-owned and operated Oswego Building Supplies in Oswego and Bloomington, IL. He had a passion for fishing, boating and cruising in his 1965 Corvette. He was an avid Chicago Cubs, Bears and Blackhawks Fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who lovingly referred to him as Papa. He is survived by his wife of 25 years Susan (Perkins), his sons, Trevor Sartain, Wesley (Christine) Sartain and Jeffrey (Allie) Sartain, his grandchildren, Jessica, Nicholas, Brody, Jonah, Mallory and Amelia Sartain. He is also survived by his siblings, Todd (Jody) Sartain, Mark (Diane) Sartain, Scott (Tammy) Sartain and JulieAnn (Matt) Gruszka and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and in-laws.  He is preceded in death by his mother Ramona Sartain McCartney, his father Max Sartain, step-father Gerald McCartney, maternal grandmother Stella Shanahan and his cousin Msgr. Robert Hoffman.


Family will be receiving guests on Friday, June 27, 2014 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 10:30 AM at St. Catherine Drexel 8S055 Dugan Road, Sugar Grove, IL. Interment will be private.
